What is Visiting Nurse Educators?
Visiting Nurse Educators is a nurse owned, nurse operated company dedicated to bringing quality, custom health care education to nurses where they work. |
Why bring healthcare education to nurses where they work?
In these times of nursing shortage it is a good idea to keep nurses working on-site and let someone else do the traveling. This gives more nurses the opportunity to attend educational programs.
Sending nurses off-site for programs requires added staffing to cover patient care needs and means employers must pay a separate tuition for each employee. This is VERY costly. |
How can Visiting Nurse Educators help?
Visiting Nurse Educators helps by presenting programs on any health care topic including the most current information available.
Doing programs on-site also allows for different disciplines within a facility to attend.
Some nurses prefer to attend our conferences at off site locations. These sites are especially chosen for their interesting attractions and wide range of relaxing options that nourish the spirit.
In short, no one is left out of the learning loop. Having an educational program presented on-site is efficient, convenient and cost effective. |

How did Visiting Nurse Educators get started?
Great things can happen over coffee! In 2002, while Brenda Burke and Sue Van Nostrand were having coffee together, they were discussing the nursing shortage and how things needed to change to ease the burden placed on too few nurses.
They decided that with their years of experience as nursing professors, they could do their part, in some small way, by making education convenient for those nurses. As a result, Visiting Nurse Educators was born! |
